We continue George Rowley's bells from yesterday.
Then Dan MacManus'clock striking twelve.
Cindy and Prince by Les Clark.
King and Duke by Norm Ferguson.
Birds by Don Lusk.

That concludes the draft for Cinderella. With an eye on my usual disclaimer, we can say that the film does keep to a rather strict form for character casting, with few exceptions and few surprises. Still, i am glad to have been able to bring these to light here!

What's next? I really do not know. I am quite busy with the stop-motion movie i am directing. It may take a bit of time before I can get another large item up here. But I WILL be back soon, believe you me!

    Some surprises, yes. Ken O'Brien, who, as on the Sleeping Beauty credits, is listed last in the opening credits, does not appear on the draft. My guess is that one of the Cindy animators "re-issued" some scenesto him, but that this wasn't mentioned on the draft.

    I'm also surprised at how much Fergie animated - more than anything outside of Snow White. I assumed he animated Bruno (a sort of "fake main character"), but he also does substantial footage on the King and Duke.

    Hans thanks so for posting this. This seems to be the only source I know of that identifies which scenes each layout artist worked on.

    I think Ken O'Brien was busy with Alice in Wonderland so his animation was probably reissued to some of the animators and he didn't get any screen credit on Alice in Wonderland.

Small One finished yesterday...

Taking a little break to prepare some new things. I must say that so far, the response to my Small One draft has been more underwhelming than I feared it would be. There IS no other place to find this information, folks! Look at the film (e.g. via the YouTube links I posted yesterday) and then check out the draft. You may very well learn something new... The good news: Holland in the Final! (Phew!!!) [Addition: It wasn't a pretty final, though quite exciting - which saw Spain win four minutes before the end of the extra time. Oh, well...]

Out to Lunch (I)   -- Restaurant with Waitress Service

Once in a while a menu turns up on eBay from the Walt Disney Studio Restaurant - I bet most of you have seen it. But what did the restaurant - "The Commissary" look like, back in the 40's? Well, part of it looked like this at 12:22 pm... < Click on it! I don't have my menu close right now, but I actually found one just now for sale, so I added its pictures to give this post some color. Clearly visible in this picture is John Lounsbery (right under the right "pipe"). I think that the top of then-lay-outer and later Imagineer Herb Ryman is seen in the left-front of the front counter, and I believe a gentleman in the back center staring straight at us is background painter (and also future Imagineer) Claude Coats. In the very back, left of center possibly Milt Kahl, looking screen left... Others?
