Prod. 2003 - Seq. 3 (I) On to the Theatre!

Pinoke's first meeting with J. Worthington Foulfellow (here just called "Fox") and Gideon the Cat leads him on his way to glory in the theatre - or so they lead him to believe. A fine conscience Jiminy Cricket turned out to be, having to run after them in his Sunday's best Milt Kahl drawings, as shown last week by Michael Sporn. We also see some nice, broader acting by Hugh Fraser, John Lounsbery, Phil Duncan, Marvin Woodward and Nick Nichols...

  1. Who's the "Otterstrom" listed in the draft?

  2. Charles F. "Chic" Otterstrom (1914-1969) started at Disney's in the mid 30s, and in 1939 was assistant animator, and as such got animation credits, as well. He seems to have left the studio following the strike, and later worked at several other studios. Look for the links at the bottom of Alberto's page for more info on the animators! You'll find a link to his page on the right on this blog.

  3. I thought when Foulfellow says, "That's it" was animated by Lounsbery. It's on Canemaker's Nine Old Men book.

  4. Interesting how it's mostly (what will become) Pluto animators doing Foulfellow and Gideon.
